Q: Are the petal mats washable?
Yes, the crushed petal mat can be scrubbed
with a brush and rinsed. The full petal mat can be spot cleaned as the petals
are larger they are more delicate.
Q: Can I return an item if I don't like it?
If you are unhappy with an item, you can
exchange it for another item within 7 business days of receiving it. No refund
will be issued, only in store credit or exchange. All returns must have a RMA
#. We do not accept returns on custom or seasonal backdrops. CD’s are not
returnable unless damaged by the shipper.
Q: What’s your return policy?
Returns are for in house credit or exchange
only. We DO NOT accept returns on custom, seasonal backdrops or CD’s.
All returned items must be clearly marked with
a RMA#. All returns must be made within 7 business of receiving the item and
must be returned to our warehouse within 30 days of receiving the RMA#. A
restocking fee may apply for backdrops and props. UNDER NO CIRCIMSTANCE WILL
SHIPPING COST BE REFUNDED.
Q: What’s an RMA?
Return Authorization Number, without this
number authorized by a representative packages will be refused. This helps the
warehouse locate your information. Mark on the outside of the package so our
return department will locate your information. Returns are processed within 3
business days once received.
Q: What should I do if I receive a damaged item?
Call Customer service and they will file a
claim with the carrier. Another item will be shipped out to you usually the
next business day if the item is in stock. Hold on to the original packing for
10 business days the carrier usually picks up in that time frame.
Q: What is the turn-around time for custom orders?
Custom orders usually take 21-30 business days
depending on the style. Single items are usually quicker. If you are ordering
multiple items lead-time is usually 21 business days.
Q: Are you open on Saturdays?
We are open Monday – Friday 8am –
5pm, we are closed on Saturday and Sunday. We are open 1 Saturday per year for
our Annual Blowout Sale. Sign up on our email list for notification of upcoming
events.
Q: Do you rent backdrops or equipment?
We are expanding with an
all new rental department featuring our most popular products. Please call
customer service at (760) 547-2900 for details.
Q: I ordered a catalog, when am I going to get it?
Catalogs are mailed USPS within 3-4 business
days once your request is submitted. You can expedite a catalog request by
calling and speaking with a representative.
Q: What are the differences between Backdrop Outlet’s Painted Muslin and
Painted Canvas backdrops?
Muslin can be folded and canvas
have to be kept rolled. Canvas cannot get any wrinkles or bend in anyway
this will ruin the canvas. Most photographers use canvas in their studios and
muslin for on location. Muslin can be stuffed in a bag and you’re on your way.
The width of the canvas is the size of the tube that you would have to travel
with.
Q: How do I get the wrinkles out of a Muslin Backdrop?
When you first receive your muslin you should
unfold it right away and hang or lay flat on the ground this will help the fold
lines release. You can steam the background and this will take the crease lines
out. Never fold the muslin again, if you are traveling with it the best thing to
do it roll it up like a ball, this will help reduce the creases.
Q: How do I get the wrinkles out of the economy Vinyl?
Economy vinyl comes to you folded, you can
request it rolled this will have no wrinkles at all but the shipping charge is
higher if requested this way. Unfold the vinyl right away, hang it or lay it flat.
This will help get the creases out. You can steam the vinyl but can’t touch the
fabric with the steamer this will melt the fabric.
Q: Why are canvas backdrops more expensive to ship?
Canvases ultimately end up being a little more
expensive to ship. They must be rolled and shipped in oversize tubes in
order to ensure our quality, and wrinkle-free canvases. However, when more
than one canvas is ordered, we can ship them together.
Q: How do you ship?
UPS is our first choice; we look at the items
ordered and the cheapest way. Volume, size, and the number of boxes factor into
the shipping price. You can request UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
Q: What’s the best way to store the backdrops?
All our painted muslins come with a free carry
bag; these are great for storing seasonal backgrounds. Canvas have to kept
rolled so it is good to keep the tube it is shipped to you in, that way you
have a save place for your canvas.
Q: Will my backdrops look the same as the ones on the website?
Depending on your monitor settings colors are
altered. Our catalog shows true color if you are unsure on your computer.
Q - Do you sell any used or refurbished equipment?
We have a huge CLOSEOUT room in our showroom;
we do not sell any of these items online or in our catalog. Everything we sell online and in our
catalog is new. We do run specials online on a seasonal props and backgrounds
and will be noted.
Q: Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have a showroom that will eventually
be twice the size after our construction is complete, and we will also have
a studio that we'll conduct workshops in here at our Warehouse. Oceanside is in
North County San Diego 45 minutes north of Sea World and downtown San Diego and
45 minutes south of Disneyland (Anaheim). Our surrounding cities are Carlsbad,
Vista, and Temecula.
